logoAbout the European Union and ECAs

In light of the European ECAs' refusal to respect local people's rights and the environment, NGOs in Europe are mobilizing to raise awareness about the role of these agencies in undermining sustainable development around the world. The European Commission, the Council and the European Parliament must take their responsibilities to ensure that EU ECAs abide by EU rules. European NGOs have requested DG Trade, which is responsible for the harmonization of EU ECAs, to form a civil society working group to reform ECAs.
