CONSULTATION WITH CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS: 18 NOVEMBER 2008
I write to extend an invitation to the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for which you act as facilitator to a consultation between Civil Society Organisations and Members of the OECD’s Working Party on Export Credits and Credit Guarantees and the Participants to the Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits. The consultation is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday 18 November 2008, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Room 12 of the OECD Conference Centre, La Muette, Paris.
The consultation should provide an opportunity for representatives from NGOs, banking, business, industry and trade unions to exchange views on issues that they wish to discuss with OECD Members in the context of the provision of official export credits.
In order to try and ensure that the consultation will be as interactive and effective as possible, we are inviting all parties to send to the Secretariat by Friday 5 September a list of the issues they would wish to discuss so that we may draft the Agenda for the meeting and circulate this by mid September. Additionally, written submissions to support the issues which all parties may have nominated for discussion should reach the Secretariat by Friday 3 October 2008.
