(Jane’s Defence Weekly, London, 4 April 2017) The Brazilian Ministry of Defence announced on 4 April that the country will offer international credit lines to support the sale of Brazilian defence products in global markets. The financing will be provided by the state Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES – Brazilian National Bank for Economic and Social Development) with loans provided for periods of up to 25 years with a grace period of up to five years and at up to 100% of the value of the export.
